Located on an old family farm we have spent many years renovating the farm buildings with a firm belief that we must honour and respect the life and work they have already done, while modernising to enable them to have a new life too. We hope you agree that we've achieved a great balance of modern living with a nod to history and tradition.
Papillion Butterfly Barn
Pappillon barn has been converted from an old farm building that was very much at the heart of farm activities. It now offers a boutique feel for a perfect treat away from home. There is a large dining living space downstairs sufficient for 8 persons along with a separate modern kitchen with lots of space to cook, or sit and enjoy a coffee.
Libellule Dragonfly Cottage
Originally the cottage of family farm workers. The huge fireplace provided heating and cooking facilities for the house. There was a built in granite sink at the front of the house. There was a bedroom on the ground floor and two large bedroom upstairs Today the cottage offers a large living dining space downstairs suitable for 6 persons along with a separate kitchen with all modern conveniences.
Our Story
Hi, we're John & Fran, or Jean-Jacques et Francoise as our neighbours know us. Originally from London, but during a holiday in South West France back in 2008 we fell in love with the area, the food, the people and the weather and dreamt that one day we might live there.
The next year we found a property that needed a lot of renovation, but was in a great village location with great local facilities and oozing relaxed French vibes.
Over the next 10 years we holidayed here every year and gradually completed more work when time and money allowed.
It was always our aim to maintain as much original history and charm with modern convenience during the renovations, and here we are welcoming guests to enjoy what has come to be our happy place.
